Behind the Marketing

In an era where audience engagement is the lifeblood of success, building million-dollar audiences just got a lot easier.

According to a recent tweet from Elon Musk, Twitter is planning to take an innovative step toward reshaping the platform.

The shift will come around adding new tiers of exclusivity, by allowing Twitter users to opt-in as paid subscribers to the content of specific creators.

And it seamlessly fits into Twitter's existing subscription service, Super Subscribers.

Creators can now have two tiers of content, one for regular viewers and another for paid subscribers, effectively creating a new profit channel.

The game-changing part?

These creators can take their subscribers with them if they leave the platform.

Think about the possibilities this opens up:

You can grow your audience on Twitter, harvest email addresses to connect more directly, and leverage these tools to send newsletters and drive engagement.

What an opportunity for content creators – particularly when we look at how this approach also increases the value proposition for potential advertisers.

If you run a channel with both free and premium paid content, and both are performing well, it signals to advertisers the potential value of their investment.

If you have gated content, how well will advertisers pay to be a part of that?

The potential to tap into an audience that’s already invested enough to pay for content is a prospect few advertisers could resist.

So, what does all this mean for us? It's a development to follow closely.

Twitter is creating a new playground for audience building, and the possibilities for content creators and marketers are massive.

These are exciting times in audience building and engagement, and we'll be right here to share every insightful update and discovery. Stay tuned!

Blue Chip or Bust

Unless you've lived under a rock for the last year, you've undoubtedly heard about AI.

Regarding business – it's not about whether it will come into play…

…but how.

Many of us have spent a night or two staying up too late playing around with AI – but if this is your only experience with it, you're only just scratching the surface of what’s possible.

The real power lies in the immense opportunity to drive businesses forward, develop new software, and create innovative content.

Consider the story of Jill Watson.

A professor hired Jill as a TA to assist with coursework and student inquiries...

Many of the students came to love and appreciate how helpful and timely Jill was in providing assistance.

Come to the semester's end; the professor revealed that Jill wasn't a person at all – but an AI model he’d created to be an assistant!

The professor leveraged AI to support students and ease his teaching burden, arguably freeing him to be a better teacher…

…while at the same time, also subtly educating his students on AI use cases – which couldn’t have been more relevant, since the class was a graduate-level course in Artificial Intelligence!

And this is just one of many experiments with incorporating AI into existing systems…

If we branch out and look into other applications, it’s more challenging to determine the long-term impact.

Look at McDonald's as a model – with one location experimenting with fully robotic operations, what are the long-term ramifications for franchises, restaurants, and employees?

Or take companies like Zendesk and Salesforce – powerhouses in the customer service industry – employing AI to enhance their efficiency and customer interactions.

You can't argue with the advantages of making a one-time investment in software over paying hourly wages and trying to compensate for human inefficiencies.

Moves like these could make a considerable impact on what our workforce looks like… and could redefine the customer experience throughout multiple industries.

In particular, when it comes to marketing and sales, the potential for using AI as a tool alongside the operator's watchful eye has some exciting possibilities.

This use of AI can save time and direct focus where it's most needed by analyzing data and trends.

The potential of AI also extends to content creation tools designed to support creators by significantly reducing the time investment of the process.

In the design realm, AI is already streamlining processes and reducing work hours – and while a human touch is still essential for specific tasks, automation is undoubtedly making things more efficient.

We're living in a time of solution-based opportunities.

Those who can leverage AI will have a significant advantage in efficiency, productivity, and innovation.

But of course, with the rise of AI comes the age-old question:

When will the robots take over?

Until then, stay tuned as we explore this exciting new frontier.

Uncommon Advice

Let's talk about setting goals – BIG Goals...

Specifically, how to turn goals into realities rather than letting them gather dust on a shelf.

Setting a goal is about marking a destination on the map of your future.

Sounds easy enough, but how do we navigate from our current reality to the new one we desire?

The first key is in envisioning what you want – down to the most minute details.

If it's a boat you're after…

When do you want to set sail – and where?

Are you picturing a joyride cruise around the lake, or a tropical adventure through the open waters of the Caribbean?

How big of a boat are we talking about?

Something big enough to throw some wake, or are we talking about a double-decker yacht with living quarters for you and the family?

Put your pen to paper, and write it out. Set a goal that aligns with your dreams and stretches you beyond what's comfortable.

Then start breaking it down into manageable segments.

It's about visualizing each step of the way that leads you to your grand finale.

If your destination is five years out, the trick is to dissect the coming years into step-by-step, actionable milestones.

Each of these smaller checkpoints will shape your daily structure, propelling you toward that bigger goal.

Too often, we dream big but need clarity in our vision.

Don't let it become an abstract dream. Make it tangible.

Determine the model, the price, the color, and even the boat's name.

This vivid mental picture will be a constant reminder, fueling your every step toward making it happen.

To add an element of fun, gamify your goal-achieving journey.

Challenge yourself to turn every hurdle into solutions rather than barriers.

Start by identifying a solution or a source of revenue to fund this dream.

If you don't account for all the resources it will take to keep momentum, you'll either cut corners by borrowing from other aspirations, or your goal will fizzle up and die.

To do this, one trick you can use is to write yourself a check.

One that you can't cash now but fully believe you can in the future.

Be ambitious; settle on a number that makes you sweat a bit.

Then whatever number you come to, add a penny to it.

Taking a rounded, general goal and turning it into a specific target.

This reminds you not to settle for 'close enough' but to strive for that exact figure.

If you look at it and have no idea how you will reach this ambitious goal – you're in the sweet spot.

The uncertainty will prompt you to stretch your thinking, push your boundaries, and commit to finding a way beyond the confines of your traditional approach to life.

Then, visualize your journey, make a plan, and pursue it relentlessly.

Make sure to guard your dreams closely. Set up barriers to keep the word "no" out of your consciousness.

Surround yourself with supportive believers and people who challenge themselves to rise above and beyond.

There's no room for naysayers at the table.

As you set goals in all aspects of your life, you'll realize that some goals can be shared while others are personal.

No one else will see the whole picture as clearly as you do, so it may be difficult for others to understand.

Protect your goals from negativity and disbelief, whether internal or from the world around you…

Remember, it's all about mindset – and embracing a warrior mentality that allows you to follow through and execute with clarity and ambition.

If you're not hitting your targets, don't abandon yourself;

Step back, look at your surroundings, and find a way to recommit to a path that will make it happen.

There's no better way to do this than by surrounding yourself with a winning team that can help envision and lay out a path to success.

That's it for this week's Uncommon Advice. Keep pushing, keep believing, and turn those goals into realities.

Rooting for ya!
