What Does It Mean to Be an A-Player?

There's one key takeaway from the iconic squad – “The A-Team”

That will serve you well whether you remember them or not:

Every 'A-Team' is built on the collective strength of A-Players.

What's an A-player, you ask?

They are the game-changers, the trailblazers.

High-performing, self-motivated individuals who don't wait for instructions but take initiative, driving projects to completion.

It is crucial to know, though, that these A-players vary by sector.

In sales, they may be charismatic, persuasive negotiators.

In marketing, they could be creative strategists with an intuitive understanding of audience psychology.

The ethos of being an A-player, however, extends beyond professional accomplishments.

It's also about adopting habits that ensure personal growth and continuous learning.

So, how do entrepreneurial A-players play?

And more specifically, what are the habits that enable them to operate at a higher level?

Firstly, they stretch themselves (pun intended) – not just with physical activity but mentally as well.

They push boundaries, venturing out of their comfort zones to explore new ideas, markets, and opportunities.

Secondly, they're telling stories constantly – honing their communication skills.

Whether writing or reading, this daily practice gives them the skill to compose a compelling narrative in whatever field they’re in, and then use it to spread their influence and shape business outcomes in their favor.

Lastly, A-Players are lifelong learners.

An A-player believes in growing every day, understanding that learning is the cornerstone of progress.

Because when it comes down to it…

In this fast-paced business world, if you're not taking a step forward, you're falling behind.

To Create or to Curate… that is the Question:

In the dynamic digital landscape of content creation, one question echoes through the minds of entrepreneurs:

Will you be a creator or a curator?

Creators are the architects of originality.

They craft compelling articles, thought-provoking podcasts, engaging emails, vibrant reels, and more that captivate audiences.

Yet, this role extends beyond the professional realm.

In life, creators are the ones forging their unique paths, embodying original ideas, and shaping their destinies with their unique perspectives.

In contrast, curators serve as discerning alchemists – adept at distilling down a plethora of content into concentrated, enjoyable reads.

They sift through the information, extracting the gems, and seamlessly weave them into a narrative that offers value and insight.

In life, curators are individuals who absorb diverse experiences, learn from various sources, and incorporate these insights into their worldviews, enhancing their personal growth.

So, where do you fall on the Creator-Curator spectrum?

It all boils down to your individual nature and inclination.

Are you inclined towards innovation and originality, or do you thrive on assimilating and presenting varied perspectives?

Whichever camp you fall into, remember: both roles are essential in the dynamic dance of the content world.

Creators offer fresh perspectives; curators refine them for easy consumption.

Just like in life, whether you're breaking new ground or learning from the paths others have tread, it's all about the journey and what you make of it.

Uncommon Advice

On the path toward growth and success, we often overlook a key element: the duty to share our hard-earned wisdom.

The knowledge you accumulate in your life isn't just for you.

It's a gift that you have a responsibility to share.

This dissemination of knowledge, whether it's through your digital content or personal interactions, is your lasting contribution to the world.

It transcends the boundaries of your immediate circle, impacting future generations and even touching the lives of people you’ll never meet.

Understanding this profound ripple effect will naturally shape the structure of your offers, each one becoming an extension of your core purpose.

But what if you don't consider yourself an expert?

This is where curation comes into play.

Even if you're not generating the content, your role in delivering it to a wider audience in a palatable, relatable form is equally significant.

The ultimate goal here is to ensure the message lands, leaving a profound impact.

Remember, a message unheard is a message lost.

In the grand scheme of things, creation and curation work in harmony, each enhancing the other.

As an entrepreneur, your score in the game of business is the impact you leave on others.

Wealth, therefore, becomes a byproduct of your contribution.

Zig Ziglar's quote captures this perfectly:

"You can have everything in life that you want if you help other people get what they want."

So, let's start building that bank of goodwill.

Dispense value, establish trust, and nurture rapport. And when you're ready to ask, your audience will be ready to reciprocate.

Cheers to your unique journey,
