How I lost 100K selling digital products

Getting in the right room, at the right time

What a weekend.

We spent the weekend at a wedding with all of Susan’s family. Both my kids were in the wedding. Picture below

You know how some people always complain about their in-laws and family?

Not me. Susan has a pretty kick ass family and I really enjoy when they all get together.

Lots of laughs.

Anyways, lets’s dive in!

Your Uncommon Advice for today covers:

5 content formulas that will get you more followers and buyers

1. Hook, Lead, Deliver, Conclude

This is a universal formula that applies to all pieces of content. You can use it anywhere.

Hook with the first line, lead into the body, deliver on what the hook/lead promised, and conclude.

2. Before, After, Transformation

People love transformational stories. When you tell them, you can attract attention and keep it.

Do a quick before, then after (or the reverse), then explain how that transformation happened.

3. Point, Point, Point, Conclude

This is more for newsletters rather than social media because it doesn’t start super interesting.

But it’s still useful and effective. Just go through useful points one by one, then conclude.

4. Pain, Agitate, Solution

Pain is a powerful motivator. When you call it out, you have a good shot at attracting attention.

Then, agitate it to keep attention and create more emotion, and finish with your solution.

5. Story, Offer, Action

Humans love stories. We tend to pay more attention to them than we do plain information.

Take advantage of that by telling one, relating it to your offer, then calling your audience to action.

Getting in the right room, at the right time

In a world bustling with ambition, it's all about time and place.

And as far as the latter is concerned, you always want to be in the right room.

The energy of those you’re close with isn't just contagious… it shapes your trajectory in life and in business.

So, how do you ensure your circle elevates you?

First, seek out those you genuinely admire.

Not just for their success, but for their character.

Beware, though, of the lurking vultures... Authenticity is your compass here.

Choose individuals who are more invested in their own growth and integrity than they are in flaunting short-term wins.

Excellence attracts excellence.

So, nurture these relationships. Infuse them with intention and purpose.

And watch, as this cultivated circle not only amplifies your growth -- it magnifies your impact.

Wedding Vibes!

We had a blast last weekend at the family wedding. It was a large wedding with about 350 people.

Have you ever wondered where some of the wedding rituals come from?

Here are two different ones…

The Best Man's Original Role use to be quite different.

In ancient times, the best man's duty was to help the groom fight off other suitors or even kidnap the bride from disapproving families.

Man, I’m glad we have evolved as a society.

How about the term "bridal" comes from the Old English word "bride-ale," which was a special beer made for the wedding.

It was sold to guests to raise money for the couple a practice that eventually led to the modern wedding reception.
